I previously had a Zotac GTX 1060 3GB and was able to run Mario Kart 8 at a solid 60fps with no dips.
I upgraded to an MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 6GB card. Naturally, it has a higher clock speed than the 3GB variant. 2000mhz in fact.
So I at least expected the same performance in Cemu.
I'm getting the same performance in some games and worse in others.
Mario Kart generally stays at 60fps, but dips to 52~58fps on large corners and causes a lot of slowdown.
Tried:
- DDU to uninstall all old drivers.
- Full shader cache. Also made my own.
- 1.8.1b and lower versions (1.7.5 etc).
Does anyone else have this problem with this game? Any suggestions? The only hardware that's changed has been the graphics card.
- i7-4790k @4.6Ghz.
- MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 6GB @2000 Mhz.
- 16GB DDR3 HyperX Ram @1800mhz.
- 512GB SSD.
- 650W Corsair PSU.
Edit: Just realized i had it plugged into the wrong PCI slot instead of the 3.0 slot......
Performance is now back to normal :)
Tl;dr: Stupid mistake
