Potentially Stupid Question, But About Online Play...

With the WiiU servers down, is there no way to get online mode running on Cemu without a WiiU.
I know about Pretendo, but I also know it requires me to create a new profile onto my WiiU.
If there is no alternative, it's not too damning, since I don't play many online compatible games, but it would be nice to have for Xenoblade X to get around some potential obstacles. Plus I do have my own WiiU, but I'm not sure if I have everything I need to actually make a Pretendo acoount.
