I got through section 4 in Farewell tonight and was greeted with the wall. What a shame, I have really been enjoying the creativity of the puzzles and nothing has gotten me stuck for too long. I think I've been working on it for about 5 hours time.
When I got to the wall, I only had 5 hearts. I need 10 more. I now need to go through the levels, collect all the missing B-sides, plus a few crystal hearts. Then beat those B-sides and it's starting to feel...unlikely.
Oh, I can do all the platforming puzzles on any B-side I am able to find. I'm confident in that. But I will probably need to look a whole bunch of shit up on the internet just to find the missing hearts and tapes, and I really didn't want to have to do that. That's kind of like throwing in the towel for me. Plus, I already came across one youtube video showing how to get the crystal heart in the Old Site, where I was completely stumped. And that felt like you were glitching the game, yet it seems this was the dev intended way to do it? Just keep dashing back and forth between screens and take off into the air to scale the far left side of the structure? I was NEVER going to figure that out on my own.
I will probably replay each section looking for stuff I missed. And after I do that, there's probably STILL going to be a bunch of stuff I missed. And at that point, I think my only recourse is looking online for where all the missing stuff is. Once I do that, it's not really going to feel like I completed the story mode legit.
So I'm curious, those of you who have beaten Farewell, were you able to find all the b-side tapes and crystal hearts on your own or did you at some point need to start looking things up too?
