What do you count as beating the game?
Post Body

I'm not talking about 100% completion, just where do you draw the line as someone who can safely say they beat the game?

If you get to the mountain summit, and get the initial credits screen, and play the epilogue, is that enough? Or do you think the person has to at least get through the core?

Or do they have to beat farewell?

I am still working through the game and I am determined. The game is kicking my ass but I am kicking back. I beat the mountain, got to the core only to get stopped by the big wall because I only had one heart. I unlocked 3 B-sides. So I went to work on those. Man are they tough!! Eventually I beat them and got the heart at the end. One from the first level, and the other from the hotel. I found the heart in the level where Badeline and her clones chase you all around but because it was inside this stone box that I couldn't break, I haven't figured out how to get it. (Please don't tell me). So that left me with the B-side of the Summit. Which I knew was going to be a bitch!

I am pretty deep in that level but have no idea how much longer it is. But soon, I should have the 4th crystal heart and be able to play the core. I am asking this question because I am sort of arguing with myself whether or not I beat it. I mean the goal of the game is to get to the summit. And that felt great. I did it. And I got a credits roll. But there's more to the story. There's more story to unlock and more primary levels that pertain to the game's story. Therefore, the game feels unbeaten to me. What do you guys think?
