How long after taking an FMT does it take to restore gut bacteria?
Post Body

I'm four weeks post-FMT. C Diff, severe dysbiosis (causing fat maldigestion), apparent gastropareisis. I took 120 capsules (making for a total of 4 FMTs) over the course of a week. My C Diff is gone, but I'm still having issues with fat digestion. My liver is producing primary bile acids, but my stomach (deficient in gut bacteria) isn't converting them into secondary bile acids. Been taking Tums so the bile can bind to the calcium, and that helps tremendously with my BMs, but it can't be healthy for me to be taking that stuff too often.

So to those who've had similar issues, how long did it take for the new bacteria to graft to your gut? Do I need yet another FMT from a different donor to correct these issues? I'm worried that if I'm not grafting ruminococcus and bacteroides properly then I'll get a relapse of C Diff.
