STUDY - Soy Protein c Diff bacteria proliferation Compared w/Casein Protein
Post Body

Wanted to drop this study in here, as I don’t think this is a widely talked about issue. This study found the following:

A soy protein diet increases the susceptibility to C. difficile infection when compared against casein (prominent protein found in dairy).

To my knowledge, I’ve not been a sufferer of c diff (knock on wood), but I’ve been eating a great deal of tofu the last few months and I’ve noticed some really gnarly gas the last few weeks. Did some googling and found this study.

Often, it’s women who tend to be attracted to plant-based and vegan diets, which often necessitates utilizing soy/tofu as a protein replacement. Stay away from the soy, ladies.
