Hello all,
Some of you may know me from this post:
You are one 90-minute study session away from mastering Subnetting
(or these other well received posts)
In the Subnetting Series, I discuss that every Subnetting Problem you ever encounter is essentially asking you to solve for one or more of these attributes: Network ID, Broadcast IP, Next Network, First Host IP, Last Host IP, Number of IP addresses, and CIDR/Subnet Mask conversion. I refer to these as "the Seven attributes of Subnetting" and show you how to solve for each of them quickly and easily in my Subnetting Master video series.
The last two videos in the series discuss FLSM and VLSM, which involves splitting up a network into smaller networks, or assigning appropriately sized networks to various router interfaces to support a certain number of hosts.
Specifically, in my VLSM video, I use a table to "visualize" how to solve these problems. But in a real exam, you most certainly won't have time to write out a huge graphical chart. BUT, you can use everything you learned in Videos 1-7 to solve VLSM problems very easily, and I'm going to show you how in a free, live stream.
FREE Live Stream: Thursday 5/6 @ 4:30p PT // 7:30p ET
VLSM Mastery
Learn how to Solve VLSM questions quickly and efficiently using only scratch paper.
I will update this post in a few days with the link to the live stream -- in the mean time, help me spread the word by liking and commenting on this post on my YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/practicalnetworking/community
Pre-Requisites: Watch the Subnetting Mastery video series.
Let me address a few question that will undoubtedly come up:
Free? Really? What's the catch?
This is my first live stream on YouTube and I'm using this free session to test everything out. I figure my live stream test might as well deliver some value to CCNA candidates. I won't be capturing any info or e-mail addresses, it will just be a link on YouTube, you don't even have to subscribe to watch. although it would certainly be appreciated!
Will a recording be made available?
Update: Here is the recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2i_2za40vZg
