Some of you are familiar with the Subnetting Mastery video series. I have now extended this series to also include a two-part appendix covering FLSM and VLSM.
Subnetting Mastery - FLSM and VLSM - Appendix Part 1 of 2
This video covers how to answer questions that look like this:
- If you start with a /18, what size sub-network would you need to create 100 sub-networks?
- If you start with a /10, how many sub-networks could you create that were each /16?
First, I'll show you a simple way of solving these questions. Then at the end of the video I'll show you a shortcut that let's you solve these questions lightning fast.
This video also contains crucial knowledge that will be needed to understand VLSM questions, covered in the next video.
