I regret not paying attention in my college CCNA classes!
Post Body

Long story short, I completed an Associate's Degree in computer networking. The degree consisted of two CCNA classes that were part of a 3-course bundle to prepare students to take the CCNA exam. I hated every minute of it.

I thought the course material was boring and not suited for someone like myself who has severe ADHD. I also stupidly assumed I could excel in my IT career without diving deep into networking concepts as long as I steered clear of jobs that relied heavily on networking. Boy, was I wrong!

One year later, I am working as a SysAdmin for a startup, and I have little to no knowledge of networking concepts. With aspirations of being a Cloud Engineer, I regret not giving those CCNA classes an honest try, and now I am here to ask for guidance. I'm not interested in being a Network Engineer or Admin, but that doesn't mean I can go my entire career without understanding the fundamentals, and no one should hire me without those!

So, as humble as I can, I am coming to you all who have already "eaten the dirt," as my dad would put it, and studied the ins and outs of networking... I want to learn networking. I want to know enough to be able to assist with projects that rely on basic networking skills, and I want to remove the glass ceiling I created for myself.

What do you think I should do?
