R&S vs DC track

Post Body

So I'm getting started on the path to finally get the coveted number. I'm the lead network engineer for a cloud service provider's R&D lab at the moment. I have my R&S NA and NP, haven't done any of the DC certs. I actively work with Nexus every day, and I like to think I know 3k/5k/7k/9k pretty damn well. I have a decent amount of experience with FibreChannel as well. We do have vBlocks to play with also, so I can mess around with FCoE and UCS.

With all that said, should I go for the path of least resistance (R&S) first, and save the DC track for later? I'm just trying to figure out what would be the best usage of my time. I am positive that I know R&S better than a lot of the DC subjects on the syllabus, and feel like I could definitely obtain that more easily (within the next year or so), rather than dealing with completely new subjects on the DC track. But if the DC cert is much more valuable, then maybe the extra studying is worth it. What do other IEs recommend?
