I passed the ENCOR exam recently to renew my CCNP for the second time. I didn't think it was that hard to be honest. I'm thinking I should just go and do the CCIE and get it over with. I have a good job, and I probably won't leave it for more money if I were to pass. I just want to do it for the challenge. Plus, it would be a great backup plan for me if I were to lose my job for any reason.
I was avoiding it this whole time since I saw that it had a very high failure rate on the first try. Didn't want to travel somewhere, spend at least $2000 for fees travel only to have a 30% chance to pass. Is that because it's really that difficult, or are people just not showing up prepared? I've been an engineer for 10 years now. I would have to learn SDWAN more, but other than that I've worked with almost everything on the exam topics list. Think it's worth my time to do the CCIE?
