Dumb question but new at this.

So yesterday got my antenna installed, and I was able to talk quite a ways from where I live but now we have rainy weather and although it is stopped raining, it’s just been rainy and wet for the last day. I don’t seem to be able to get out and I have all kinds of interference. Is this just part of the weather and I should expect us when the weather is not nice. I don’t think my Antenna shot or anything because I can hear people it’s just really full of interference.
