Running good now starting issues?!?!

1974 cb750. Got her running quite well(carb tune and sync). Replaced regulator/rectifier with one piece unit(ricks). Replaced starter solenoid with a unit with main fuse(revival cycles). I've had this issue a few times where I try and start the bike and get absolutely nothing. I jumped the old solenoid and it started after a few tries. Battery measures 12.6volts im getting nothing though, no click, crank or noise. Pulled apart electric start switch and cleaned contacts. Still nothing. What am I overlooking?! Any thoughts? I've never kicked it over. It's a 836 big bore kit.
