How did you find Cave Story?

Personally, I found it when I was reading an issue of Nintendo Power back in the day (R.I.P.) when I found a review of ithe WiiWare version of the game. It looked pretty cool, but as a kid who rarely got any money, I didn't have the 15 dollars to buy it.
Then, one day, the Wii Shop Channel started giving out free demos of games, and Cave Story happened to be one of those free demos.
I decided to give it a try, just because Nintendo Power made it sound so good.
Once I tried it, I loved it so much that I bought it with the next Wii Points Card I could get my hands on.
So how did you find Cave Story? What's your "story"?
