So, I’ve had Toast (unique name, I know) since I was three years old (hence the name, because my three year old mind went: brown for the normal toast, black for the burned toast, white for the butter) and he’d been on his own for a while (we used to live with my grandmother who had a dog, but the dog unfortunately had to be put down many years ago) and last year we got a puppy. We were worried how he was going to react to Midas — the puppy— and at first Toast was like : ‘What have you done‘ but eventually he warmed up to the little guy and they’re now the bestest of friends.. even if Midas is a greedy little guy.
Tbh their personalities could not be more different. Toast— calm, relaxed. Midas- chaotic and judgemental. But, Midas has definitely brought out the more playful (Toast is quite energetic for his age— 13) and rebellious (Toast likes to bark more than he used to now, because Midas does) side to him. Even if Midas loves to use Toast as a stepping stool.
Words can’t describe how much I love my fluffy babies.. even if they’re not the most obedient.
