My cat got hit by a car 5 years ago and while he was recovering my only option at night was to isolate him in a room so he wouldn't walk around at night and hurt his legs (he had 2 casts and I lived with a dog, I didn't want to risk the dog accidentally hurting him) and I think because of this he's become needy and dependent, for a while no matter where we were living, he would sit in whatever hallway and just scream. Meowing as loud as possible. He goes through phases of doing this and I don't understand why, I thought maybe it's because he thought we left him when we went to bed so I usually call him over, but he doesn't come to me and usually continues to scream. It's been really upsetting because he does it early hours in the morning and wakes us up does anyone know what I can do to possibly make him stop? Is it anxiety? They have a full food dish, I don't know what else he could be crying about. My fiancé gets upset and annoyed bc it's like 5am and he won't shut up and I don't want to get rid of my cat because he's the first cat I've ever got and I love him I just don't know what I should do
