How to get my kitten on hard food?

I adopt this kitten at 6 weeks. He was a bottle baby so the true age is unknown. But he was on soft food and I tried moving him to hard food but he wouldn’t take it so I continue soft wet food for 2 weeks now thinking that he may be a little younger then the lady I got him from thought… but now I know he can eat hard food because this week I gave him both options. Well yesterday was the last can of wet food so now I have only hard food… he’s eaten a little but he keeps looking at me and then his bowl for the wet food… how to I get him to eat the hard cat food.
