Post Body

So I got a cat last Saturday from a friend, she cant keep the cat anymore
So I took the opportunity to take care of it especially during this quarantine i'm quite bored.

The cat is quite big 3-4 years old now so its litter trained so i'm not worried about it making a mess.
All was good when the cat arrive, he went ahead and sniff and explore my house and petting was all good and I can pick him up without any struggle whatsoever but then the mistake came the first night

I thought my friend said she kept the cat in a cage during night and welp I did that but he kept meowing but then I let him out of the cage and after that touching becomes so much harder with me getting scratch quite a few time and from what I see the claw/nails need to be trimmed.
To the point of it getting stuck practically everywhere but with me not being able to touch him its hard to help him and how do i proceed to bring him to grooming place to trim his nail.

And also i want to clean his paw thanks to the clumping litter which i just found out is not so great and now in between his nail there are litter stuck and this can be done with a wipe but no touching or maybe its because i'm a bit scared of him scratching me now huh lol

I read that the cat can clean its claw but its been a few days already and i can still see the litter on his paw and the only logical think i can think of is because the claw is too long that it cannot clean its claw? This turned to be a long post but I hope someone can take the time to read this and help me in how to proceed with this. Any question you can ask pm or down here
