I am looking to adopt a new furry best friend, but the thing is that my roommates, one of them is allergic to cat fur. He's not allergic to the protein (Fel d1) but rather the fur, and its not like a death allergy but it is very irritating for him. He has lived with cats before and he told me that as long as they don't shed heavily he should be fine.

Also, I know that many people are going to point to hairless/sphynx, but for me personally they are a little too much work for me right now (both time and practicality). That's why I am looking for short haired cats that don't shed/leave & track a lot of fur everywhere.

I am currently looking at Russian Blues but other than that have no real clue about other low shedding cats, and don't even know if Russian blues are actually low shedders (I've never seen one only read online that they are low shedders).
