nova is the calico, and jade is the black cat. they are both girls. i originally got nova (dob 12/07/2023) from my friend who had an accidental litter. that same friend had another accidental litter and thats how i got jade (dob 04/14/2024). so, nova and jade are sisters! just from different litters. but they’re very bonded.

nova is pretty anti social, so she doesnt need much attention. the extent of her affection is to sit near me and stare at me. it’s a good system that we have going on. she’s pretty uncomfortable with me petting her most of the time. she’s a big troublemaker, though, always trying to find ways to push my boundaries. but her spunky personality is what keeps my life interesting, and i love her for it!

when my friend gave me jade, she told me that she’s a boy, so jade used to be named apollo. until i took jade in for a kitten checkup at the vet who let me know that she’s a girl! jade is nova’s opposite in the way that she is very clingy and social. she is always wanting to cuddle and ask for pets, and she’s super vocal. she will cry if her bowl is empty, or if she knows i’m getting ready to leave. she doesn’t like being alone in any room. also, sometimes when she grooms herself she keeps her tongue sticking out. i included my favorite picture of her doing that :)
