I just needed a somewhere to vent about this.

I recently went through a break up and had to find a place to live on my own. I have a good job and wanted to stay close to my work location.

The only place I could find that I could afford doesn't allow cats or dogs. I had to give my cat to my ex. They do a great job taking care of him and I'm sure he's happy.

It's been three months and I'm beyond depressed. I miss my son so much. My ex and I aren't on good terms. We don't even text.

One of my roommates has 6 birds though, which really upsets me. I offered to keep him in my room at all times but my roommate said no.

This is the only place I could afford to live in.

I used to sleep with him every night.

Now I just get sad and depressed whenever I see cat videos online.

I miss my son.
