Hello everyone!

I am in the process of moving my cat currently is at my mom’s house which is about a 5,000 sq ft house interior and another 5,000 sqft of backyard. Cats are allowed to roam outside during the day then they come back inside at night (the yard is walled).

Outside just our house this is very safe area for cats and there has been many neighborhood strays making it to long lives. It’s a very unique situation here for cats.

I am moving into a 3 bedroom apartment that is decent in size but i cant have my cat roam i do not trust my roommates so kitty will be in about a 250 sq feet room for most of the time. I get to WFH about half of the time so kitty can be with me but this is a massive downsize for her. She also cannot be let outside this neighborhood is far too dangerous for her.

So what is best for my cat? I adore her i lover her so much but I need to think wats best for her. My biggest fear is if she is let out she will 100% die in the new neighborhood. I will be 10 mins away so regardless to moving so far.
