I am at my wits end. I am so pissed off because my cat has scratched my mattress for weeks and now there are threads everywhere on the mattress and I’m almost having to buy a new one. I’m o my knowledge she only does this when my husband and I are sleeping. She has all her food and water, clean litter box. I thought she was trying to wake me up in the morning to feed her so we started doing that and she even gets fed two times in the morning and still she comes and scratches the mattress. I try spraying her with water but it will be. Non stop battle every morning from 4:30-6:30 when I wake up and she will come back every 5 minutes to do it. Idk what to do but I’m so mad. She has scratching posts in our room that she has used before and she still chooses not to use it.

Any ideas? My husband is about ready to get rid of her since we can’t even sleep in or anything and our door doesn’t latch so we can’t lock her out. (We live in a rental so have to wait for the maintenance man)
