Saving Uneaten Wet Food?

Post Body

My new 2yo kitty wasn’t a big fan of wet food with her foster, but we’ve been working on it and she now eats it! With that said, she’s prone to grazing, and I’m trying to transition her more to meals. With that said, she very rarely eats all of the wet food put out for her (right now 1/4 can at a time).

I hate to waste food when she barely even touches it. I only leave it out for about half an hour. Is it safe to wrap the bowl in foil and put it back out a couple of hours later? How about after that, if she still doesn’t eat it all, can it go back in the fridge, or is that time to throw it out? I also dampen it with warm water when it comes back out of the fridge.

Thanks for the help!
