Cat behavior issues after neutering

Post Body

Hey guys . So I just got my cat neutered yesterday . My cat is 2 years old and I’ve had him for about a year and 9 months . He is very sweet but can be difficult sometimes .

He’s an orange cat btw . I got him neutered through a vet from the Humane Society .

It came with all his shots and a nail trim . They did not trim his nails . And did not put a ecollar on him they just put it in a bag . I can’t even use it because it’s to small . So far he isn’t licking the incision. But he’s pacing back and forth and constantly meowing to get out the play pen . I was told he’s supposed to rest and be away from everything . But he’s very antsy . And is even clawing through the playpen .

What do I do in this situation? When can I let him out ? And when will he calm down ? Because right now he’s acting like when I first got him . I move into an apartment April 15 th and he’ll have plenty room to move around .

Disclaimer ***

He was originally a stray and doesn’t like pet playpens or cages . My parents are strict and originally he was in the garage . And my parents would make me have him caged up while I was work . And it affected his mood and made him aggressive towards me so I’ve him outside in the backyard and he’s been loving . He’s way happier outside but it’s dangerous and he gets into a lot of fights and roams around a lot and leaves the backyard and comes back home .
