My cat Yeti who is 3 years old and deaf is having issues with the litter box. I have 2 cats and have tried multiple approaches. Fist I had one litter box for the both of them it was the petsafe automatic litter box. I changed the litter every two weeks but after 1 to 1.5 weeks Yeti would go beside the box instead so I read that it would be best to have two litter boxes one for each cat. I did that and same issue 1to 1.5 weeks Yeti would quit using it. I do keep it clean the one box I had to scoop and I did it regularly. So I thought maybe his sense of smell was just that much stronger than the other cat so when I changed littler I'd scrub the boxes clean. Still not luck. Now I have bought one of those fancy litter boxed and I've had pretty good success he has pooped outside the litter box a couple time due to faults of my own trying to figure this thing out. But tonight is a different story h used the littler box twice today and when I got home from work peed beside and then pooped beside when I went to bed. I'm not sure what else to do at this point. Any advice is appreciated.
