So my girlfriend and I get a call from her grandparents saying that there’s some kittens living underneath their shed in the backyard and that they havent seen mom come around in a couple days. They caught one of them today and It was outside in the crate in a thunderstorm (not the most humane people ive ever met, they honestly really piss me off but thats off topic) i knew the kittens would be in safer care with us especially with them having a dog. We were able to get the other kitten out from under the shed and set a trap up for mom just incase shes still coming around. We believe they are around 5-6 weeks old from everything we have read. I have had cats all my life but never kittens this young. We are going to reach out to people we know and trust to see if they are interested and also going to get in touch with a few adoption agencies incase we are forced to adopt them out to strangers so they can run the necessary background checks so we know they’re going to good homes. They are more then interested in kitten wet food but don’t know if we should do some supplemental bottle feeding with kitten replacement formula as well. Until we can get in touch with some shelters and humane societies tomorrow, any advice would be greatly appreciated tonight. We have them now comfortable, warm, and they are already extremely purry and lovey. Thank you for taking the time to read and wish this little boy and girl the happiest of days to come!
