Hello, my cat had a kitten today. So far it's just an only child. The kitten seems healthy and normal, it cries and moves around, and it's also searching for nipple for food. I'm just anxious that it is having trouble finding the nipples and that it isn't getting fed. Momma is laying on her side so she is accessible. Maybe I'm just an over worried daddy.
Are there any tips or suggestions to help make sure the kitten is able to suckle on the nipple? I've tried holding it gently up to it, but so far that hasn't worked.
