Hi. I’ve previously posted something related here but the situation hasn’t changed, maybe it has gone worse. My grandma passed away in December and my mom and I took in her cat. She’s been living with us in her new house for a couple of months now.
In January we took her to the vet and she is healthy so I don’t think she’s meowing because of sickness. Whenever she meows I try and do everything I can think of that she might want but she doesn’t stop. I open the faucet to see if she wants water, I sit on the couch to pet her but she gets bored quickly, I “open the duvet” to see if she wants to go sleep there (it’s her favorite thing to do), I give her a treat, I try to play with her. But nothing works.
I was just having breakfast in bed and she kept meowing even though I was constantly calling her so she could get inside the sheets. She just got up and while I was petting her she smacked my hand stopping me and now she’s just laying next to me chilling, no longer meowing.
I don’t know if she’s just loud or if there’s something I’m missing. It’s not my first time having a cat but my previous one was the sweetest girl so I don’t really know where to go from here.
