So Im wondering, I have two cats. We got the first cat about a year before adding a second kitten.

When we brought the kitten home, she was very attached to me. Would sleep on my shoulder or in my lap almost always.

But as the kitten grew older, our first cat became more and more close to me and I would consider our first cat to be the more dominant.

They are 3 and 4 years old and the youngest just grew so resistant towards me. Definitely doesnt like hate me and will be around me but almost always will not let me touch or hold her. Like a complete 180° from when she was little

Im curious if its because as she grew old she starting seeing that our older cat had like “chose me” and she almost does it like out of respect for the eldest? Or is it just normal for cats to change so drastically?
