So I have four cats; Jinxy Moo is 13, Shikari & Artemis are 3, and Brad is 11 weeks. My oldest three were on Hill’s Science Diet Adult sensitive stomach chicken & rice flavor and had no issues with it. A week before I adopted Brad, my older three were eating canned food since I didn’t have the money to get their normal food. When I adopted Brad the shelter gave me Hill’s Science Diet kitten food chicken flavor. I tried to stop the older three from eating Brad’s food but it was impossible. Since everyone seemed to like it I ordered a 15 lbs bag of the kitten food. Now the older three are refusing to eat it but Brad is having no issues. I don’t have the funds to get two separate science diet bags of food (I spend almost $70 on it for one bag) and it’s hard to separately feed everyone. I want to make sure Brad gets all the nutrients he needs. Since Jinxy Moo is older I figured kitten food might even be good for him. Is there a good quality food out there that is good for all stages of life but will still give Brad everything he needs? When Shikari & Artemis were kittens they were on Solid Gold then I transitioned everyone to Science Diet. How should I go about this? I was able to get the older three to finally eat by soaking the dry food in water for ten minutes. So I know it’s not the flavor. Is it maybe the tiny pieces vs the adult sized pieces they are used to eating? Is it because they had wet food for a week and now are being stubborn about dry food? I don’t really have the funds to waste this food or to get more soon since a typical 15 lbs bag lasts about two months for everyone.
Thanks in advance & here’s a picture of Brad. 🫶🏻
