My high school was almost shot up last week AMA

Instead, every student got a personal notice signed by our principal during 2nd period saying the threat had been been dealt with.
Then today we were scheduled to have an earthquake drill and instead of the earthquake chime that's supposed to come over the loudspeaker, there was just a 10-15 second clip of gunshots and people screaming. No one was hurt and nothing happened. "Something went wrong in the system."
I've never been so on edge in my own school. AMA?
