So I just finished Nocturne, and I loved it. But I do one character logic breaking thing about the final episode that Iâm struggling to sit with.
So weâre standing here in the house of god, youâre a reincarnation of an Egyptian god, youâre the messiah of all vampires, and youâve just created endless night. Youâre going to take a love one of the abbot into your ranks to force his submission, and, because youâre the sadist to end all sadist, turn is sweet daughter⌠who for the record has been kicking ass against your advanced guard, along side her distant cousin/spiritual brother⌠but you get the offer to take her Speaker mother instead. What to do?
Shrug
Why not both?
No seriously; it must be so dreadful for the abbot to have his lover twisted into vampire⌠imagine how much worse it would have been for him, (and the Belmont) to have them both turned into vampires. And like⌠I get your thing is despair and suffering but you seem pretty down to help out fellow vampires and instil loyalty⌠hey you know what might help long run with this new sorceress, powerful enough to turn you away from take her virgin daughter youâve recruited⌠if she could stay with her daughter. Sheâd probably be pretty pissed at first but like, long game in a hundred years or so when vampires rule the world, theyâll probably both pretty thankful and happy to be together at your side; and the daughter will probably be just as magically strong as her mother by that point.
But seriously⌠youâre the messiah of vampires, why are you playing by rules laid out by desperate livestock you have backed into a corner? If you want both⌠then take both.
And even if itâs a âwell you can only turn one human at a time.â Youâre suddenly above keeping a girl locked away for a bit until youâre ready for what ever you have in store for her all of a sudden?
