Not sure if I'm seasoning correctly
Post Body

My lodge cast iron was getting kinda bad so I decided to go ahead and re season it. I scrubbed the inside with salt, then washed the inside with soap and water. The only part that really needed seasoning was the inside. So I heat the pan on the stove top, add oil and rub it in, then bake it in the oven at 450 for 30 minutes and then let it all cool in the oven. Here is where I think I'm doing something wrong. I've gone through 5 cycles and yet the pan is still brown on the bottom and not black. Am I not using enough oil or something? Also is it ok go season a section of the pan? Everything but the inside bottom is fine....so...yep.
