No Pictures sorry:(
I used my cast iron Kirby & Allen pan to cook a wonderful steak, and then mushrooms with a red wine reduction. Tasted amazing. very rich.
Then I washed it. put it on the stove to dry on medium to high heat.
Then I did the BAD thing. I went and had dinner with wife and friend. after the meal, I noticed the smoke and remembered I had forgot to shut off the stove.
I burned the seasoning right off the bottom of pan, inside and out. the crud on the outside of the pan was actually in flames. Over 12 years of seasoning GONE!!!
Edit: This was on a Electric stove.
I washed the ashes off and dried it on the stove. Then coated the inside and bottom outside with Crisco. I have done 2 layers so far. Eggs still stick slightly. I had it where eggs would slide all over the pan no problem before the BAD Thing. It is nicely black though.
I am going to have to get some Gyro meat to season it some more.
