Post Body

Hey y’all! So I’ve run in to a dilemma…. I’ve used the same cast iron skillet for a year or so now and cook a variety of things in it. It has suddenly started sticky and honestly I can’t even get the stuck on off 😭 I currently have it sitting in just a bit of water to see if I can get it off. I’m not letting it sit but a few minutes. I’ve used cast iron my whole life but they were my parents so of course they were 30 years old and I’ve never had an issue. I’m going tomorrow to get steel wool. I’ve never had to use it on this pan. So I would assume I would need to reseason it now? Why would this suddenly be happening? We also take very good care of this skillet, no soap and only ever non abrasive sponge to clean then wipe down with oil after every use…. I’ve used it mainly for meal prep the last few times and use a little bit of olive oil when I do my chicken could that be causing the issue?
