Ruined a $400 Le Creuset

So I’m not sure if this post belongs here but I’m going to throw it out (probably like this Dutch oven). I was heating this Le Creuset to sear braciole so I had it over gas on high with some avocado oil in it. I got called away and this was left on high for over twenty minutes. When I returned, smoke was billowing out of it so I took it outside to let it cool. I fear that the ceramic has burned off and it is ruined and headed for trash. Thought I would see if anyone had any remedies I could try to save this great piece! Thanks!
