Playing a mixtape I found in the P I L E (ACDC, Days of the New and Kiss)
I got given this guy quite a while ago, new belt and it works pretty well, I've not been able to find much information about it, only thing I've found is an article in sound review from 1979 where they tested it and said "it's perfectly good for the price" and I agree, but I feel like this has to be a rebrand from a well known company, it's made in Japan, there's not really much information on it other than that.
The auto-stop doesn't work at all, when it gets to the end of the tape it just keeps spinning the spindle with the pinch roller still engaged, thus I've dubbed it the tape snapper 3500, I want to find a manual for it, I'm sure it's a sticky mechanism, the record lever arm that actuates the multi-switch internally was corroded to the point it barely moved, but I'm not about to disassemble this without a guide.
Anyone got any ideas where I can start to look? Similar looking decks with similar features?
Cheers.
