Brown deposits on Pinch Roller and spindle

Like the title says, seems that after about 2 cassettes are run through my machine the spindle gets brown deposits on it, I'm cleaning the pinch roller and spindle with 99% isopropyl alcohol, I'm not sure it's effecting anything, but I'm more curious what it is, I suspect it's the magnetic material of the tape, and that concerns me.
The same happens but to a lesser degree in my walkman, think about 10-20 cassettes before I need to clean it
