Bought a new walkman, won't play cassettes..

So I bought a WM-FX281 for a little less than $30 off eBay. The seller was offering to take a return, but I was wondering if I could take a hand at fixing it. The radio works, it powers on, and if I try to play something, if makes a motor noise but doesn't actually play the cassette. I haven't worked on cassette players is all and am mostly unfamiliar with them, but I have fixed up phones, laptops, ipods, so I might have a chance. Any idea what might be wrong? I'll answer any questions to help
