Murder Drones, if you haven't seen it I HIGHLY recommend.
Post Body

Overall the show is a solid 8/9 - 10 stars. The pacing and plot is confusing for the simple reason the ending was "made" first and worked backwards which can drive people away. Keep watching! Its worth! If you do have any questions you need an answer to, feel free to drop it in the comments! I'll do my best!

Overall, I would have to say the show exceeded my expectations from the start. I remember watching the pilot and being disinterested, after episode 3 dropped I picked it back up and never regretted it. With the series in a conclusion now, theres lots to say.. This will not make sense unless you have a basic understanding of the idea of the show..

SPOILER CONTENT AHEAD - Soft recap/explanation

The plot consists of an absolute solver, a program that infects damaged AI into the years of around ~3000 C.E. The program (as far as the audience knows) decimated human life in its entirety on Earth. Earth was destroyed and Copper 9 became too hostile to survive in. The first infected host, Cyn, was adopted in by Tessa and she looked up to Tessa dearly. Tessa collected discarded robots and repaired them often, of what we see in one of her robots memories, N, she has a few dozen if not more, but only a few work (at least 6).

With Cyn as the host of the Absolute Solver (AS), she quickly took over Earth and eliminated it with the robots she corrupted and repurposed into "Dissassembly Drones." They followed her command and some were sent off world to Copper 9 to infect their infrastucture too while humans still lived there. Of the 3 drones we meet personally, N, V, and J; J dies and Cyn will later bring her with her to copper 9 again. N becomes a gumball we all love. V more or less becomes an older, annoyed sister.

Nori, the mother of protagonist Uzi, was corrupted along with Yeva. While strong enough to fight, the solver took over for moments enough to cause Nori to make the planet inhabitable for humans in an eternal winter. Nori never returned to a home and stayed where she caused the planet to die from and where Cyn got her hold on Copper 9 to hold Cyn back and work for a fix.

Yeva was killed by one of Tessa's robots, V (supposedly). Her daughter, Doll, inherited her AS along with Uzi from Nori. While both parties work to fix their AS in their own ways, fighting against eachother often; Uzi, N, and V survive and solve their own mystery until Tessa arrives with J in a pod.

At the time, nobody but J knows anything of the Tessa we meet. Tessa has been dead for a long time. Cyn absorbed her body to look like her, causing the hybrid the show wanted to end on originally.

Before anyone finds out, V offers to sacriface to help Uzi. N kills Tessa after realizing she isn't who she should be (not knowing it was Cyn yet), and N finds her mother, but must not tell Uzi... until she kicks her own mother down the giant hole of Cyns essence inside the planet after getting controlled by Cyn herself.

At the end of ep7, cyn is revealed for the audience and left on a cliffhanger into episode 8. I wont spoil any of episode 8 that you wouldnt know already.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Murder Drones is one of the most popular Indie projects out there currently. The show is mostly kid friendly! Definitely a PG13 rating for sure. Very little blood and minor swears. As every character is a robot, the biggest part is violence and the heavy implication of death and gore. The comedy and comedic timing is certainly worth a watch on its own, very meta at times. The soundtrack, especially episode 8's, is magic to the ears for any "nightcore" fans, as thats Uzi's main personality summed up in a single word. The near to 3 hour run time of all 8 episodes packs in a lot of subjects and "blink and you miss it" details. Of course with any animation, there are graphical errors that do occur, but few and far between.

I hope, to anyone, who reads this enjoys this show as much as I did!
