Installing a country's GPS map in a volkswagen

Hi, I'm not very knowledgeable about cars but just wanted to ask in case anybody would know. our Car (a volkswagen Lamando) doesn't come with the map of our country on it's GPS. The dealer says there's no map provided for our country and they said there's no way of installing it. Now I'm no car guy, but there's an sd card slot (2 I think) in the glove compartment and I hate to think that there's just a way to install the map of our country (Philippines) in the touchscreen stereo. Does anybody know if this is possible? with the vast amount of information swimming around the internet there's got to be a workaround for this..
