as we all know, Honda hasn't had a RWD car since the s2000, a decision that has irked most enthusiasts since its cease of production. the economic crash of 2008 caused most auto manufactures to scrap their more expensive and/or more performance-oriented vehicles with rear-wheel-drive layout for a more economic front-wheel-drive setup.
today with the world at a place of financial security (excluding the recent pandemic which has almost blown over with the rollout of vaccinations) most eastern manufacturers have a performance, rear wheel drive car; with the rollout of the 350z, 370z, and now refreshed 400z from Nissan, the increased performance of the Toyota Supra and joint Subaru brz/86, the constant popularity of Mazda's Miata, with some Korean brands getting in with the KIA stinger and Hyundai genesis coup, the only brand we've seen no RWD talk from is Honda the second biggest Japanese car manufacture. i wanna open the conversation to figure out, is this a money issue, or has honda lost its touch for making fun rwd cars?
