I just went outside and my cars hood was open

What would a thief steal from the engine bay of a 2012 Ford focus , what should I look for .... it was the one time I left my door unlocked ..
Maybe i kicked the flip to open it on accident because its by my foot but I'm stressed. I had a laptop in my car and cologne and nothing seems to be moved or stolen
