I noticed around 10000km the clutch behavior changed dramatically. The change happened very quickly.
The friction point was much higher and the contact point is almost where the pedal releases. It used to be way lower and there was more travel.
I sent the car to the dealer to see what was wrong and they said that it was completely normal, the clutch has just broken in. I don't understand why the transition would be so sudden.
I find it harder to drive smoothly and rev-matching and double clutch are way more difficult than they should. The distance between friction point and contact has shrunk considerably.
Are they right about this or should I go to another dealer?
The clutch never slipped dramatically neither did I get any smoke out of it
EDIT: The car is a 2019 Honda Accord Sport
EDIT: I got a lot of questions about rev-matching and double clutching. I rarely use them, it's just when I want to get a perfectly smooth downshift when overtaking and accelerating hard. For double-clutching, I know I have synchros but it helps a bit smoothing out a transition if a light turn just turned green and I was still moving. Normally I just downshift away smoothly releasing the clutch
EDIT: I forgot to mention that my dealer only drove the car and didn't pay much attention to detail of how the car behaved. They never removed the transmission to inspect the clutch or related parts.
EDIT: Thanks everyone for all your input, it was really useful. I know there was a lot of debate about double clutching, didn't know how fierce it could become. I scheduled an appointment with another dealer and they will actually inspect the clutch instead of just driving the car. Expected to take two days. Might be a NC. I'll edit the post again with the prognosis next week.
