2012 Ford Focus SE loose rear shock

Pretty much the title. Wife’s car got a nice rattle on the left rear side of the car today. She got home and I took a look underneath. The right rear shock is loose and rattling around.

I’m assuming it is just the top mount, but don’t have a jack and jack stands (not till tomorrow) to get the wheel off to check. But I did check the top part of the mount and you can move it by hand.

Anybody have any experience with this? Would this just be the mount that went corroded away, since the car has 96k miles on the OE shock?
