So about a month and a half ago, our 2004 Nissan Quest (one owner) somehow caught on fire while it was (thankfully) sitting outside. Fortunately, no one was hurt but it was sad to see our car of 14 years burnt to a crisp. It sucks that the Nissan had to go the way it did.
Thus began our search for a new car. We wanted to upgrade from the Nissan to something more luxurious for a while. We started our search with the 2017 Acura MDX. We liked this option but the infotainment was old and kind of clunky with the two screen setup. We also looked at the new Honda Oddesey but we wanted something luxurious so we skipped that option. Finally we test drove a 2017 Audi Q7 and loved it. The tech on that car was insane. So we began the search for a Q7 that matched our specs.
Just this weekend, we purchased a 2017 2.0T Premium Plus model. The 3.0T would have been nice but out of budget. However, going from the V6 in the Quest to the 4 cylinder in the Q7 is not a bad transition. The Q7 is super comfortable (except for the 3rd row) and the tech is awesome. The best feature by far is Audi's Virtual Cockpit.
