Hey guys, just so everyone knows what I am dealing with I bought a 2008 rav4 last july with 174k miles from a nearby toyota dealership in Florida. 8k miles down the road and my car starts burning oil like the fucking dickens, about a quart every 700 miles. The car is driven by my father who says this started right at 186k, he's at 187.8k right now.
So off to google I went and I found this: basically my car is part of a two-phase plan called the ZE7. I've read up on it, pistons and rings to be replaced after a measured oil test. Fucking titties. Not what I wanted to hear.
What to do? Besides call my lawyer
would you just submit the car to toyota?
would you demand replacement of parts?
