CarFax reports that a used vehicle has been serviced three times since it was offered for sale three months ago. Is this normal?
Post Body

I posted this in r/askcarsales, but I thought I might also get some valuable feedback here at r/cars.

Here is the CarFax I'm looking at. It was offered for sale on 3/9. Maintenance was performed 3/29. The car was then serviced on 4/25 and again on 5/12. Is this a red flag?

On one hand, I don't see why a car would need to be serviced if it's only being test driven (unless it has some serious issues). On the other hand, this could just be routine maintenance that follows a manufacturer's recommended schedule. Still, I don't think a normal car would need to be serviced so frequently.
