I have used Turo a lot and love how many fun cars I have been able to drive. I have never had a bad experience until this past week.
I rented a 2012 Panamera Turbo S for a week. I got in the car and it had 125k miles and smelled pretty bad. As soon as I start driving the oil pressure warning comes on. I message the owner and he says it’s just a faulty sensor. I should have taken it as a warning sign.
After a week of driving the car he files a damage report. Obviously I was not in any collision so I was confused. He says part of the front trim is coming off. This is true but clearly it is because of a broken clip and normal wear and tear. I did not think to take a picture of that part of the car but his “before picture” is clearly from some time ago. Now he is trying to get me to pay for the repair.
Oh and to make matters worse it was not even a Panamera Turbo S as he listed. It was just a Panamera S. I’m hoping Turo sees through all the lies, if not I may just have to go to small claims court.
